For over three decades, the Sri Chinmoy Bhajan Singers, led by Ranjana K. Ghose, have offered numerous concerts of Sri Chinmoy’s music at UN Headquarters in New York, kindly sponsored by Ambassadors from many different countries. Below are photos from a few of their recent concerts.

The Sri Chinmoy Bhajan Singers and members of the Peace Meditation Choir join tabla Maestro Samir Chatterjee and acclaimed vocalist Sanghamitra Chatterjee in performing Sri Chinmoy’s Bengali songs for a Concert at the UN hosted by Indian Ambassador Hardeep Singh Puri on 12 April 2011.

The Sri Chinmoy Bhajan Singers sing some of Sri Chinmoy’s Bengali songs for a programme at the UN on 26 September 2014 hosted by Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Bangladesh joining the United Nations. Displayed behind the singers are reproductions of Sri Chinmoy’s paintings dedicated to world harmony.

Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina thanks the Sri Chinmoy Bhajan Singers at the end of the programme at the UN celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Bangladesh on 26 September 2014, after joining with them in singing one of the Bengali songs.

Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina receives a thank you bouquet from Nilima Silver, General Secretary of the Peace Meditation Group, on behalf of the Bhajan Singers, for the Prime Minister’s kind appreciation and support over the years, before her address to the UN General Assembly on 21 September 2016.

The Sri Chinmoy Bhajan Singers, led by Ranjana Ghose, perform at a Celebration of the Bangla New Year on 14 April 2016, held at the Bangabandhu Auditorium, Permanent Mission of Bangladesh to the United Nations.

The Peace Meditation Choir, led by Tanima Bossart, perform Sri Chinmoy’s songs in honour of the Bangla New Year on 14 April 2016. The Singers thanked Ambassador Masud Bin Momen for his kindness and generosity in giving them beautiful Bangladeshi saris and kurtas, traditionally worn on this special occasion.

As an expression of gratitude to Ambassador Masud Bin Momen, Ranjana Ghose (right) and Nilima Silver present him with a bilingual poetry book by Sri Chinmoy, entitled Premaloker Kanan (The Garden of Love-Light), in Bangla script, with English translations. The book had been recently launched at the 2016 Dhaka Book Fair, and was also offered to Mission staff and other participants.
